Who it's for

Love playing?
Want to play better?

This course is for players who know the basic rules and want their game to move on. Not a beginners' intro, not a pro clinic. The bit in the middle where most of us live.

01

You've found your feet

Whether that's a handful of sessions or a couple of years of rec-play, you can keep a rally going and you've started to wonder what you should be doing differently.

02

You've hit a plateau

Same level for a while, same points lost the same way. You want to understand why, and fix it with someone watching.

03

You want a plan, not just games

Rec-play is brilliant, but it won't tell you what to practise. Eight weeks, eight themes, each building on the last.

The course

Eight weeks.
Eight parts of your game.

Each session takes one part of the game, explains the strategy behind it, then drills it with real partners until it sticks. By week eight it all connects.

Why coaching

You could watch
a hundred videos…

…and still not know why your third shot keeps sitting up. A screen can't see your feet, your grip, or the ball you should have left. A coach can, and tells you straight away.

  • 1
Feedback on the spotHit it, hear what to change, hit it again. That loop is where improvement actually happens.
  • 2
Real partners, real paceEvery drill is played with people at a similar level, so the ball comes at you the way it does in a game.
  • 3
Decisions, not just shotsDrive or drop? Attack or reset? You'll learn how to choose, which is what separates levels.
  • 4
Never lost in a crowdEight players at most, so the coach gets round everyone, every session.

Will Cheeseman
RallyPoint co‑founder

Will got into pickleball fast, and got good fast, because he wanted to learn as much as he could, as quickly as he could. He co-founded RallyPoint, qualified as a Pickleball England leader, and is now a Level 1 Club Instructor.

Now he wants to put that same energy into other players: helping you level up, so you get more out of the game you love.

"I wanted to learn everything I could, as fast as I could. This course is me passing that on."

Questions

Things people ask.

What level do I need to be?
If you know the rules and can keep a rally going, you're ready. It's aimed at new and improving players, so you don't need to be good, you just need to have played before. If you've never picked up a paddle, come to one of our free taster sessions first.
Do I have to do all eight weeks?
No. Each week is booked on its own at £20. Come to all eight for the full course, since each week builds on the last, or pick the ones that suit you. We open each week for booking in turn, so keep an eye on this page or our Spond group.
What if I can't make it after booking?
Let us know as soon as you can. We can't refund a booking cancelled less than 7 days before the session: last-minute dropouts still incur costs, and there often isn't time to fill the space. Thanks for understanding. Full terms are at suffolkpickleball.co/terms.
Do I need my own paddle?
No. Paddles and balls are provided. If you have your own, bring it along.
Is there a minimum age?
Players need to be 15 or over. 15 to 17-year-olds are welcome with a parent or guardian present for the whole session.
How do I book and pay?
Either here, by card through Stripe, with a receipt and confirmation email straight away. Or in our Spond group, where every week is listed too: join with the code JLYUJ at spond.com. Same price, same places.
